Virtual Local Number
A virtual local number can added to your RealtyOne800® service to help connect you with customers in your area. Multiple local numbers can be added to the same account to service multiple local markets. Local numbers also allow for callers to connect to your RealtyOne800® service from overseas, thus allowing you to extend your business worldwide.
You can add a virtual local number to any RealtyOne800® plan, based on availability. Incoming calls to a virtual local number do not incur incoming per-minute fees. Forwarded calls through a virtual local number are billed at our standard live rate of 4.4¢ per minute, billed in 6-second increments.
Our virtual local numbers have been configured to receive two (2) simultaneous inbound voice or fax telephone calls at any one time. This means if two callers are connected to the system through your virtual local number, the third caller will receive a busy signal. We can expand this capacity, in sets of 2 lines, for an additional $10 per month.
You can request a local number through our online order form. On Step 3, check the box noting that you would like to add a virtual local number to your order. Then enter the desired area code. If the desired area code is in stock, a number will be randomly generated, added to your system and activated immediately. If the desired area code is not in stock, we'll order a number for you. In this case, your local number will usually be active on your system within 1-2 business days.
Please NOTE! Local numbers are not recommended for those wishing to use the system for lead generation. Virtual local numbers do not have the same capability of defeating caller ID blocking as do toll-free numbers. If the caller blocks his ID, the system will not capture the caller's telephone number.
